How to choose

Private or shared changes the whole trip. A private tub on your deck means a late-night soak under the stars on your own schedule. A shared site tub usually runs on a booking rota.

Wood-fired tubs take time. Expect two to three hours to heat a wood-fired tub from cold, and keep feeding the stove. Electric tubs are usually hot on arrival.

Pack for British weather: a robe or dryrobe, flip-flops, a head torch and a towel you don’t mind getting muddy. Most sites supply towels for the bed, not the tub.
