Search the hotel’s own site for the room name we give, then book that room type, not “double room” or “superior”. Hotels often allocate rooms on the day, so a booking for the category alone can land you in a room without the tub.
Think about the weather. An en-suite spa bath works in January; an outdoor tub on a terrace is magic on a clear night and less so in sideways rain. Some hotels heat the terrace tub only on request.
Look at what the room rate includes. Hot tub suites are often sold as packages with dinner, fizz or late check-out, and the package can be better value than the room plus extras.
