More about hot tub stays in Cornwall

When to go

July, August and the school holidays are busy and expensive, with full car parks at the famous beaches. May, June and September bring warm days and far fewer people. Winter is quiet and stormy on the north coast, which is exactly when an outdoor hot tub comes into its own. Bodmin Moor is a designated dark-sky area, so clear winter nights are spectacular.

Getting there

The A30 runs the length of the county, joined by the A38 from Plymouth in the south-east. Trains from London Paddington run to Bodmin Parkway, Truro, St Erth and Penzance, with branch lines to Newquay, St Ives and Falmouth. Newquay Airport has flights from several UK cities. A car makes most rural stays much easier.
